Peter Schurau is Founder and Managing Partner at Magpie Projects, where he leads the design and execution of the firm’s growth strategy. He brings extensive leadership experience from executive roles at global professional services and technology firms. In parallel, Peter serves as an Industry Partner at Motive Partners, a sector-focused private equity firm based in New York.

Prior to founding Magpie Projects, Peter was Co-CEO of LPA, a software and consulting company specialized in Capital Markets. He continues to serve on the firm’s board of directors.

Earlier in his career, Peter was a Senior Partner and Managing Director at Capco, where he led the European region and expanded the business into new markets. He also oversaw Capco’s growth in Asia Pacific. Following Capco’s acquisition by FIS in 2010, Peter was appointed Executive Vice President at FIS, where he managed the firm’s European business as well as Capco’s operations in EMEA and APAC.

Before Capco, Peter was a Partner in the Financial Services Practice at KPMG Consulting. Following its IPO as BearingPoint, he joined the European Management Board and led the Financial Services practice across Europe.
Peter holds an M.B.A. in Business Administration and Management from the University of Münster.
