Jakob has been part of our team since 2023. He advises CCPs, CSDs and GSIBs on modernising their payments, clearing, and settlement infrastructures, with a focus on clearing and finance operations as well as treasury front- and back-office.
Among other experiences, he served as key subject matter expert for payments infrastructure migrations, leading the external test activities along with business and functional analyses for the T2/T2S and Swift CBPR+ migrations of a large EU CCP.
Prior to Magpie, he worked at boutique consultancies RSBK AG and x-markets Consulting, helping develop regulatory strategies for companies seeking to enter foreign markets and providing business analysis services for financial institutions. Jakob holds several university degrees from Shanghai International Studies University, Hagen University, Heidelberg University and Goethe University Frankfurt, concluding with a master’s degree in finance. He is a certified project manager (PMP), advanced-level test manager (ISTQB CTAL) and professional Scrum master (PSM).
