Günther has been part of our team since 2019 and brings deep expertise in helping GSIBs, private banks, and asset managers rethink and transform their front-to-back system landscapes. His work focuses on streamlining processes, managing complex system outsourcing, and improving data quality in environments where accuracy and efficiency are critical. He is known as a strong, reliable, and trusted program manager – valued for his resilience in high-pressure project environments and his ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes across all levels of an organisation.

In recent years, he’s led major initiatives including a system migration for the global compliance division of a Swiss universal bank, and a large-scale data migration for the private banking arm of a GSIB—both projects requiring a steady hand and a sharp eye for detail.

Before joining Magpie, Günther led multiple system outsourcing and implementation projects at Firstwaters and FIMAS, where he developed a strong track record in IT transformation across the financial sector.
Günther holds a Diploma in Business Administration at the University of Giessen and regularly shares his insights on industry developments—most recently on the evolving landscape of Anti-Money Laundering.
