Rupert joined our team in 2023 and plays an active role in advancing our Operations and Settlement Practice. He advises financial institutions and infrastructure providers on post-trade transformation, process optimization and regulatory compliance, with a particular focus on creating efficient and effective target operating models that align with legal requirements.
His recent work includes a regulatory implementation project with a major European exchange and the successful delivery of two ABS SRT transactions for the German entity of a GSIB. Rupert brings practical insight into the inner workings of large banking organizations, drawing on several years of experience in the Corporate Bank division of Deutsche Bank.
He holds a Doctorate in Law from Bucerius Law School, where he critically reviewed the effectiveness of investor protection rules under MiFID II / MiFIR. He also holds a Master of Law and Business from Bucerius Law School and WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management and a Master of Science in Quantitative Economics from Kiel University. Rupert is a CFA Charterholder.
