Joel has been part of our team since 2019. He advises clients on compliance topics with a particular focus on trade surveillance — including software implementation, data identification and integration as well as surveillance parametrization.
In his flexible roles either as project manager, product owner, or business analyst, Joel often acts as a bridge between business and IT, facilitating the diverse perspectives of various stakeholder. Beyond surveillance, Joel brings extensive experience in business process optimization and the design of robust governance structures.
His recent project work includes acting as product owner enabling the implementation of a new trade surveillance system at a G-SIB, leading the scope extension of an existing surveillance setup by integrating additional trading activity in a project and test manager role, and scale a new banking entity in the Middle East in various roles, ranging from project manager and business analyst to test manager.
Joel began his consulting career at a boutique consultancy, specializing in operational risk and governance frameworks. He holds an MSc in Finance and Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management.
